Cambridge, ON, May 16, 2016 – Ramping up for it’s 10th anniversary, Grand River Film Festival (GRFF) is now accepting submissions for the 2016 MCAP SHORT Shorts competition.  GRFF encourages all filmmakers – student, amateur, professional – to submit to our annual competition, now in its 9th year.

GRFF is proud to support aspiring filmmakers through the annual MCAP SHORT Shorts competition. This highly successful competition is a forum for recognition and awards, and also provides filmmakers an avenue to screen their films in a festival setting. Past winners have been featured in the media and have gone on to earn awards at other top film festivals throughout North America.

The director must be a citizen of Canada, or landed immigrant residing in Canada, with the short film being an original motion picture that has a running time of 15 minutes or less, including all credits. Official short selections will be shown throughout the festival week paired with a feature film screening.
