Opportunities for 2021

Audio Editor – Programming Committee

Grand River Film Festival is branching out into the world of audio, and we need someone passionate and experienced with audio editing to help!

Do you know your way around audio mixing software? Can you work on a deadline? Do you enjoy being creative? Do you have experience or interest in sound engineering, recording, editing and arranging, postproduction, mixing and mastering for dialog, sound design and music? Then you are exactly who we are looking for!

GRFF, the region’s longest running volunteer lead film festival, is starting a podcast and we need your help on the back end. We are looking for someone reliable and skilled to help take the conversations we’ll be having with community members and filmmakers from around the world, and polish them into final products, to delight the ears of the Region. And do so on a regular, recurring basis.

If you are interested, please respond to program@grff.ca with an introduction,  experience, and a sample of your work.

Application form

Each year, GRFF relies on volunteer film enthusiasts to present a festival of great film and programs. People are needed to assist in all areas of the festival – there is a role for everyone! As ambassadors for both the Festival and the Region of Waterloo, being pleasant, helpful and professional are key requirements for a GRFF volunteer.
Even though you are helping us out immensely, volunteering can also benefit you! These benefits can include real life skills for your resumé, tickets to GRFF screenings, the fabulous experience of taking part in a film festival, and high school community service hours.
If you are interested in lending your time and talents to GRFF, email volunteer@grff.ca for further information.
