A Proud Member of the Waterloo Region Community
The Grand River Film Festival works with many community partners in order to fulfill its mission and goals. GRFF is always looking to partner with additional organizations and groups to support the amazing work being done in and around our community.
In addition to festival week, GRFF is proud to present and collaborate on the following programs:
- Youth Video Competition: In partnership with the City of Kitchener, and Kitchener Public Library this program offers youth filmmakers in our community, the opportunity to showcase their talents and win prizes.
- You Only Die Once: In partnership with Hospice of Waterloo Region present a short film competition that aims to get community members talking about what it means to live well until you die. #YODOContest calls on filmmakers and storytellers in Waterloo Region to tell stories that to focus on death as a part of living. The short films between 3-5 minutes in length, explore and educate others about death, dying, and grief in a personally unique way that has a positive influence on the community.
- Journalism Film Festival: In partnership with Ink-stainedwretches.org this festival celebrates the vital contribution journalism makes in our lives.
